Sommelierimme kertovat

The Arneis "Le Rive del Bricco" is a rich, varied and exuberant white wine, subjected to long cryomaceration and maturation in steel and barriques. It expresses itself in a rich and articulated bouquet of flowers, fruit, spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is articulated, long, fresh and mineral. The apotheosis of Roero and its typical white grape!

The Roero Arneis “Bricco delle Ciliegie” from the Piedmont winery of Giovanni Almondo takes its name from the small vineyard of the estate, which in the past hosted cherry trees, one of the crops that characterized the landscape of the Roero hills. It is one of the reference labels of the denomination, particularly appreciated for its elegance and aromatic intensity. Thanks to careful artisanal work, the best characteristics of this native grape variety of the area are highlighted, which for a long time was undervalued in favor of Nebbiolo and which today has finally carved out a space among the great whites of the Peninsula.

“Bricco delle Ciliegie” is a Roero Arneis from the Almondo winery, one of the most well-known and appreciated brands in the area, located on the other bank of the Tanaro River, right across from the Langhe. The Bricco delle Ciliegie label is the result of one of the most suitable plots of the estate, located in a hilly area, at an altitude between 340 and 370 meters above sea level, with an east and south-facing exposure. The mild and always very breezy climate and the rather light and loose soils, predominantly sandy in matrix, with the presence of clays, limestone, and silt, constitute an ideal habitat for the cultivation of white grape varieties.

a predominantly sandy matrix, with the presence of clays, limestone, and silt, constitute an ideal habitat for the cultivation of white grape varieties. The Arneis grapes are gently pressed and the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The aging lasts 7 months and takes place in steel tanks, except for a small part (5%), which matures in non-toasted French oak barriques.

The white Roero Arneis “Bricco delle Ciliegie”, produced by Giovanni Almondo, is a fragrant, harmonious, and pleasantly fruity wine, which captivates those looking for softness, richness, and aromatic intensity. It presents in the glass a light yellow color with subtle greenish reflections. Refined and elegant, it stands out for delicate aromas of orange blossom and acacia flowers, citrus peel aromas, white-fleshed fruit, and hints of tropical fruit. Smooth and rich on the palate, it has a juicy and clear sip, leading to a savory finish with balanced freshness. Excellent to enjoy as an aperitif, with appetizers or simple seafood dishes.
