The Oltrepò Pavese Pinot Nero Frizzante Vinificato in Bianco from the family-run Giorgi winery is a light-hearted and smooth drink. The estate's extensive production places Giorgi among the Oltrepò Pavese wineries with the most worldwide presence, with around 60 countries to which it exports its excellent wines, including this peculiar interpretation of Pinot Noir presented in an accessible and easy-to-read guise, with an appetising drinkability.
Giorgi Pinot Nero Vinificato in Bianco Frizzante Oltrepò Pavese is made from only Pinot Nero grapes grown in the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, in a cool, breezy climate. Once the grapes have been harvested, they are transferred to the cellar for soft direct pressing, using only the free-run juice for the vinification of this label. The mass is then left in static decantation for a short period and then undergoes alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine undergoes a second brief fermentation in autoclaves for light frothing according to the Charmat Method and after a few months of ageing is finally bottled.
The Oltrepò Pavese Giorgi Pinot Nero Vinificato in Bianco sparkling wine has a pale straw-yellow hue with greenish flashes. Fresh and delicate hints of apple, peach, pear and hawthorn characterise the nose, enriched by mentholated balsamic echoes. The soft, light body on the palate is accompanied by soft effervescence and remarkable freshness. The mineral finish is long and savoury. Thanks to its gracefulness and agility, this sparkling white is an ideal choice for informal aperitifs.
